One such long-running annual street market runs on Sunday, July 22, in the pretty market town of Bungay in Suffolk’s Waveney Valley.

This has now been rebranded by the new organisers, Kate and Mike Button, who run Black Dog Antiques in nearby Halesworth.

The market will now be known as the Bungay Antiques Street Fair.

Kate said: “The market has been running for 22 years and was in danger of closing. We have worked really hard to restore dealers’ confidence and our main aim is to put antiques back into the market and restore its integrity.”

The Buttons expect to have 70 stallholders on the day, with extensive advertising through social media, roadside boards, flyers and what’s-on guides.
