In the small book section of a June 14-16 sale held by Lacy Scott & Knight (20% buyer’s premium) the cards sold at £320.

Other successes were a 1902 first issue of Conan Doyle’s The Hound of the Baskervilles which, despite lacking the frontispiece, sold at £900.

A 1670 (first edition?) copy of Hannah Wolley’s The Queen-Like Closet…, a celebrated early cookery book, was tightly cropped in a defective and broken binding and lacked anything that might have come before the now chipped and discoloured frontispiece.

It sold at £1250, but first and second editions have made as much as £3400 in past years.
