CINOA (Confédération Internationale des Négociants en Oeuvres d’Art) held its annual general meeting on June 19, with representatives from 12 European and two American dealer associations and The International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) in attendance.
François Belfort, managing director of the French association Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA), attended for the first time.
Better analysis
CINOA’s efforts are currently focused on two broad issues: anti-money-laundering legislation and laws surrounding the import of cultural goods.
In particular, it is advocating a better analysis of the facts surrounding the art trade and any links to the financing of terrorism.
