David Priestley and Benedicta Ferraro, who established the business in 1994, had been looking for a new location for around a year.
“We wanted something in St James’s and on street level,” Priestley told ATG. He added that the space is “quite different” from their previous gallery, smaller but with a much larger window. The whole gallery has been refurbished including the fitting of floor-to-ceiling cabinets.
The gallery opens this month with displays of early Chinese ceramics and works of art on show throughout the year and plans for a first exhibition during Asian Art in London (November).
