The 3ft 10in (1.18m) wide table, with a single-panel huamu (burr wood), was estimated at £10,000-15,000.
It had some splits repaired with filler, the top had some watermarks and scratches and there was evidence of old woodworm – nothing unexpected in a piece of this age, however – and it sold online to a Canadian bidder for £22,000 on March 21-22.
