The upcoming event held just 10 minutes from Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire celebrates its fifth anniversary this year and takes place on Saturday and Sunday, November 24-25.
It is, said Potts, “one of the best regional and collectors’ fairs in the country with a reputation for good-quality antiques and a great atmosphere”.
He added: “We have had an 80% take-up on returning dealers to the autumn fair, along with some new faces including Andrew O’Brien who also stands at IACF Alexandra Palace, with period jewellery.”
Making their debuts at the Holt are art glass specialist Stephen Yorke and Ralph and Anne Holliday with 20th century stemware. Returning dealers include Stephen Walters with British maritime heritage and Andrew Fleming focusing on horology.
Five interesting crests will be offered by Brian and Pauline Fell, at prices from £100-250 for the livery crests and £1500 for a full royal crest.
Believed to come from the refurbishment of one of the guilds of the 12 main livery companies 50 years ago, the livery crests include the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths quartered with leopards’ heads.
