Specialist Glass Fairs’ latest annual venture from organisers Christina and Paul Bishop was launched last year at the National Trust-run Ickworth House, near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.
This is the sister event to their annual glass fair at Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire. “Knebworth in February, Ickworth in September,” said Paul Bishop at the launch.
The Ickworth House Glass Fair on Sunday, September 15, has 30 exhibitors “with more contemporary artists exhibiting this year which I’m sure is something to do with the venue being so light and airy”, he added.
Snape venue

Some 500,000 people a year visit Snape Maltings on the banks of the River Alde at Snape in east Suffolk, many to attend the world-renowned concerts at the annual Aldeburgh Festival in June.
But on site there are also galleries, exhibitions, a shop, a pub and a vintage market. Organised by Suffolk-based Deben Events, the Snape Maltings Vintage & Makers’ Market has been running since 2009 and is held five times a year. The next is on Sunday, September 15.
