1 How did you get your start?
I used to deal in film and TV memorabilia in my late teens over 30 years ago and have also been a Mod Brit specialist for the best part of 25 years (I still do some consultancy work in that field), so it’s in the blood I guess.
2 What is popular with collectors right now?
James Bond posters are always popular and collected as the series is so iconic. The Connery posters are most sought after, but the early Moores are starting to steadily rise in value too.
3 What is one challenge you foresee in the coming months?
The ongoing challenge: finding great-quality stock, especially from the inter-war and Second World War periods, which tend to be extremely scarce due to the paper recycling drive at the time.
4 What do you collect personally?
Aside from posters I collect British studio ceramics, which traditionally have been rather overlooked in favour of paintings and sculpture but are now having a bit of a renaissance.
5 Real ale or espresso martini?
Good bottle of Pinot Grigio.
