Stephanie Castell and Ben Cooper, directors of Two Cs Antiques Fairs, are delighted that all three of their upcoming events are fully booked and with what every fair organiser looks for: a waiting list for all of them including as far ahead as October.

The fairs are held at Burford school in the Cotswolds town of the same name, at Ludlow Racecourse in Shropshire, both in July, and in October at the Chateau Impney Hotel in Worcestershire.

New venue

The annual Burford Antiques Fair, part of the Penman Fairs’ portfolio for the past three years, will run on Saturday and Sunday, July 27-28.

This is a part-standfitted/tabletop fair and there will be a few layout changes – the better to attract more trade and private buyers, said the organisers.

Cooper added: “Caroline Penman was aware that the Burford fair was rather the odd one out in her portfolio and has handed it to Two Cs. Both Stephanie and myself have already been involved with this fair.

“Last year’s visitor numbers were slightly disappointing, in part due to the hot weather, but it was also felt there needed to be a wider cross-section of dealers to encourage the trade and to ensure there are items to suit all pockets.

“Returning dealers include the Mulberry Gallery, AJ Art and Aquila Fine Art with paintings, and Two Cs’ regulars such as Wendy’s Antiques and Memory Lane with furniture.”
