A collection of Antarctic books from the library of the author, explorer and historian Richard Reaney is to offered by Art and Object on April 11 in New Zealand, including this copy of Ernest Shackleton’s Aurora Australis estimated at NZ$80,000-120,000.
Among the highlights will be a copy of Ernest Shackleton’s Aurora Australis, the book which was created, printed and published in Antarctica in 1908 at the winter quarters of the British Antarctic Expedition. It has an estimate of NZ$80,000-120,000.
