A portrait by British artist Mary Stork (1938-2007) of an unknown subject is available from the website of British and Ceramics and Paintings, a north Devon business run by Joseph Robinson.
Stork studied at the West of England College and the Slade School of Art in London, where she was an award-winning student. There she met her husband Jeremy Le Grice and the pair lived at St Just in Cornwall.
She befriended fellow artists Mary and Rose Hilton and became a member of the Penwith Society of Arts.
Stork produced mainly mixed media – watercolour and charcoal – figurative pieces.
The picture is available for £450 from the dealership’s website.
