Irish silver cup estimated at $1200-1800 in the Thomaston Place auction on November 8-10.
The 13½oz, 5½in (11cm) high vessel has a maker’s mark for Charles Townsend (active 1770-85) and a Dublin hallmark but no date mark and is engraved with a horse’s head crest and an M monogram.
The estimate is $1200-1800.
