Art Deco silver Dunhill lighters with watches incorporated into the body are well known but this one above, hallmarked for William F Wright, London 1926, has a barometer.

This Edwardian silver vesta case with enamel hunting scene by Sampson Mordan & Co, London, 1904, above, is estimated at £1000-1500 in Hansons’ three-day auction starting on October 9 at Bishton Hall, Wolseley Bridge, Staffordshire.

This issue of The Daily Gazetteer above, dated Monday, May 5, 1746, is headed The Order of Battle: fought on Straghallen Moor, near Collodden-House, April 16, 1746. A diagram shows the positioning of ‘The Rebel Army’ of Charles Edward Stuart and ‘The King’s Army’ under the Duke of Cumberland while a description of the battle appears verso.
The stained and repaired copy of one of the first written accounts of the hour-long Battle of Culloden carries an estimate of £1000-1500 in the Rare Books, Manuscripts, Maps & Photography sale at Lyon & Turnbull in Edinburgh on October 9.

The Art & Design sale at Cheffins in Cambridge on October 10 includes a characterful 13 x 10in (33 x 25cm) gouache and gold paint costume design by Pavel Tchelitchew (Russian, 1898-1957).
The Tzar, created for Coq d’Or, formed part of an exhibition of Tchelitchew theatre designs held at The Alpine Club, W1, in 1976 by the late art adviser Richard Nathanson. It comes for sale from his estate.
