It is the first event under the ownership of IACF who acquired the East of England Showground fair from Bob Evans Fairs earlier this year. As of mid-September all the inside pitches across four permanent buildings were sold with just a few outside pitches remaining on several acres of grassland.
With such a strong take-up and a footfall that has occasionally topped 15,000, the biannual festival is a prime addition to IACF’s current seven-venue portfolio of antiques fairs in the UK.
IACF’s operations manager Rachel Everett told ATG: “Around 70% of stallholders at the festival are IACF regulars. We guess around 10% of the pitches have been taken by dealers who are regulars at IACF fairs and who have either never stalled at Peterborough, or who had lapsed and decided to give it another try since hearing we’ve taken over organising the event.
“Stallholders will be setting up from 12 noon on Thursday September 26, with admission to trade buyers from 7am on the Friday as per usual at the event.’’
IACF advises that there are no future plans to change any of the layout of the fair.
