1. This unsigned oil on board, attributed to the English Vorticist Frederick Etchells (1886-1973), took £500 (estimate £60-80) in a sale at David Duggleby on September 7. Etchells was a contributor to the Omega Workshops before forming the Rebel Arts Movement with the painter and writer Wyndham Lewis.

2. Great Ancoats Street is the title of this print of a 1930s drawing by LS Lowry (1887-1976). Made in an edition of 850 by Henry Donn Fine Art, it sold at Morphets of Harrogate on September 5.

3. Titled Frightened Little Girl, this 17 x 6in (43 x 15cm) oil on board by Carel Weight (1908-1997) sold at Bourne End Auction Rooms on September 4. Weight often depicted female vulnerability in his high-anxiety paintings, many of which take place in suburban settings.
