Launched in 2005, the Nottingham firm specialised in autograph and manuscript sales. Its final auction was on January 7.

According to its website, it is “responsible for the sale of over £1m worth of autographs every year”. Proposed liquidator John Harlow confirmed that no further auctions will take place.

He added that financial information on the company will be available after February 14, when the resolution to wind up the firm will be considered by shareholders. Creditors have been contacted and are asked to send in proof of debt to the liquidator by the decision date.

A sister company, International Autograph Auctions Europe based in Malaga, Spain, was established in 2011. The companies remain legally independent.
