Given that the potential market for this English factory is relatively small, the auction house decided to not to swamp it and to split the ensemble into three sales offered across six months. It did, however, put the entire collection on view at Wentworth Woodhouse before the auctions.
This second tranche of 39 lots offers a similar cross-section in terms of type and value to the 40 pieces offered for sale last November: a mix of table wares, figures and other ornamental pieces ranging from under £100 up to £300-400.
Pictured here are two examples. The teapot, sucrier, teacup and saucer top painted, gilded and enamelled with typical flowersprays on a green ground (pattern 889) and with a printed puce griffin mark, dates from 1830-42 and has an £80-120 estimate.

One of the aspects of Rockingham that interested the Rowleys was pieces decorated with topographical scenes. This 9in (23cm) wide octagonal basket above is unmarked but with a view titled in red script as North Lodge, St Leonards. It has a crossed twig handle and is moulded with primrose leaves and applied with Dresden-type flowers.
Dated to c.1830-42, the estimate is £200-300.
