This 5g gold nugget (and extra smaller specimens) above comes with a handwritten note titled A Nugget of Gold From Australia!!!.
Dated 1867, the note says the gold came from the diggings of J Allen. It is estimated to sell for £60-80 at Huntly Auctions in Turriff, Aberdeenshire, on January 28.
