Estimated at £400-600, this is one of a handful of albums produced by Iden himself that are referenced by Percy Dawson in his catalogue The Iden Clock Collection (1987).

The sale at Baldwin’s of St James’s on March 25 includes a collection of medals reflecting on the life and times of George IV. The 197-lot Pavilion collection has been formed over the past 20 years or so and is thought to be the first stand-alone collection of its type to appear at auction. The sale is timed to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the accession of George IV in 1820.
This silver ticket gave the owner admission to the banquet marking the Coronation the following year. It is named for J Adams – probably James Adams who was listed at the time as ‘an assistant’ at the event.

The sale held by sporting gun and antique weapons specialist Holts in Wolferton, Norfolk, on March 23 includes this rare 140-bore percussion revolver c.1840.
This version of the ‘pepperbox’ revolver, signed LF Model Mariette’s Patent with the serial number 178, has six inner and 12 outer barrels making 18 in total. As such a front-heavy weapon made accurate aiming difficult, the primary market for these weapons was for civilian self-defence.
