Offered for £5750, it is one of the items on a new website by vintage poster specialist AntikBar.
Dubbed AntikBar Books, the site features book design and ephemera from the 1920s-30s, including examples from the major movements of the age such as Bauhaus, Art Deco or, in this case, Constructivism.
Titled Mess Mend or Yankee in Petrograd (Mess Mend ili Ianki v Petrograde), it was printed by The State Publishing House in Moscow in 1924.
Issued originally as individual brochures, the stories unite detective fiction with revolutionary ideology. Each volume in the book features a photo-montage cover and constructivist typographic design by Russian avant-garde artist Alexander Rodchenko (1891-1956).
