It was assembled by a professional physiotherapist and cycling enthusiast who started collecting after the Tour de France in 1957.

The bikes include touring, racing and time trial models and feature some very early examples dating back to the late 19th/early 20th century, such as this English New Howe model made in Glasgow, c.1892 (above).

Despite being over 120 years old, the bike, with its diamond-shaped frame and sprung leather saddle, has a surprisingly modern appearance.

The estimate is €500-800.
