The lockdown hiatus forced the fair’s closure in March so the organisers were delighted to be able to reopen with events in August and September – and the next edition is set for Saturday and Sunday, October 24-25.

Bonner said many of the fair’s stallholders had taken to online trading during the pandemic but most of them are far more comfortable selling in person.

She added: “You can’t take away the tangible aspects to a vintage market and being able to handle the wares and I think that’s especially what some of our customers appreciate.

“We have around 30 dealers in four rooms (Covid-19 measures mean we have to have fewer stallholders), selling a wide variety including jewellery, ceramics, militaria, antiquarian books/ephemera, vintage/retro accessories, collectables and vintage toys.”
