“When the centre closed during lockdown we already had an established online shop so customers were still able to browse and buy online,” she said. “Sales through our website have more than doubled compared to the same period last year with many new customers discovering us.

“Silver pieces were the most popular. During and following lockdown I think people have felt further away from family and friends, so have been looking for thoughtful gifts they can send to their loved ones.

“After the shop reopened at the end of July we saw a steady increase in footfall, particularly from visitors on a staycation and out enjoying the warm weather with silver and fine jewellery being the most looked-for pieces. We are very excited that our shop has had a makeover with a new look, name and website.”
