Launched in February, the May event was cancelled due to the pandemic and as September’s fair is classified as an indoor market it comes under retail rules.
Hughes, who owns Phoenix Antiques in Petworth, asks that social distancing is observed on the day and that not everyone turns up at the 10am opening time.
The dealers standing provide plenty of variety, including Trevor Towner Antiques based in Petersfield, Cinque Ports Militaria from Tenterden in Kent, Mother Ducking Vintage in Gosport and the Portsmouth Napoleonic Society will be there with books.

Surrey Militaria will have a number of sweetheart brooches from the Royal Flying Corps, the Royal Air Force and the Second World War on its stand at the Petersfield fair on September 27. This gold First World War RFC brooch, above, is priced at £200 and came from a clearance in Kingston-on-Thames near what was the Sopwith Aviation Company, although there is no known connection. This factory designed and made aeroplanes for the Royal Flying Corps and the RAF.
