The 105.003 – now known simply as an Ed White – was produced for a relatively short period of time (1963- 69) with the majority made in 1965. As it was a different model that was used during the Apollo 11 mission (the 145.012) the 105.003 and prior models are informally known as ‘Pre Moon’ Speedmasters.
A decent example was sold together with its original paperwork and additional Omega replacement bracelet at Bourne End (17.5% buyer’s premium), Buckinghamshire, on September 2.
The hammer price was a solid £8500 (estimate £4000-6000).
