The work on linen (also featuring glass beads and sequins) measuring 3ft 11in (1.2m) high was from an edition of 20 (plus four artist’s proofs) published by The Paragon Press in 2014. It came from a UK vendor and retained the original specified frame as well as its certificate of authenticity.

Estimated at £30,000-50,000, it was knocked down at £60,000, an improvement on the previous high for the same edition – £39,000 at Sotheby’s in September 2017.
