Everard Read London
One of the earlier exhibitions of the autumn season is Deborah Bell’s Sentinels at Everard Read London.
Running until October 3 at the Fulham Road gallery, the show features a group of monumental bronze ‘guardian’ sculptures and more than 30 new paintings by the South African artist. Her compositions often feature human figures accompanied by animals, as is the case in this work, Night is a Huge House III.
Other paintings and smaller sculptures in the show are offered for prices ranging from £2100-20,000.
Beaux Arts
'Tripod', a recent work by Desmond Morris which is available for £7000 from Beaux Arts.
Desmond Morris is probably best known for his TV programmes about human and animal behaviour and his chart-topping books such as The Naked Ape (1967).
However, he is also a prolific surrealist artist, who recalls producing his first artworks in London during the Blitz. Now 92 years old, he is the focus of a show running from October 14-December 12 at Beaux Arts on Maddox Street, which coincides with the publication of his third catalogue raisonné.
Works on offer include Tripod (2020), from a bronze edition of eight, which is available for £7000.

While Frieze includes some of the most established and expensive artists in the business, there are a host of ‘satellite’ fairs that put more of a focus on emerging artists.
Start Art Fair scheduled to run as a physical event in London’s Saatchi Gallery from October 21-25, is among them.
The roster of international exhibitors includes Thomas Spencer Fine Art offering works by Patrick Church, a young British multimedia artist working in New York.
This acrylic on canvas Existing with you, 3ft 4in x 3ft 4in (1m x 1m) is priced at £3500.
London Asian Contemporary Art

London Asian Contemporary Art (LACA) launched online this summer, offering a year-round platform for Asian and African art. Visitors may browse online viewing rooms, take a virtual reality tour of the Dominque and Sylvain Levy collection of Contemporary art, or watch the Talking Art series of videos that recently went live.
The platform is tailored to support galleries affected by the growing roster of cancelled events, as well as those seeking to break into the international fair circuit and emerging artists.
Members include Aktis Gallery, Matthew Liu Fine Arts, Rossi & Rossi and Pearl Lam Galleries.
Organisers are also planning a pop-up exhibition to take place in London during the autumn contemporary season.
Works on offer include Gao Xiang’s Horse Pagoda (2014), a 3ft 11in x 24cm (1.2m x 60cm) oil and acrylic on canvas offered by Katrine Levin Galleries for £5900.
