Works by William Black are on offer at David Lay.
Self taught, but known to artists such as Ben Nicholson, Barbara Hepworth and a close friend of John Tunnard, he produced numerous deconstructivist sculptures in the 1960s.
Only recently acknowledged by the mainstream art world, a group of Black’s works generated prices between £300 and £1250 at David Lay in May.
More come for sale at the firm’s Cornish Art and Fine Art sale in Penzance on July 22-23 with 40 pieces ranging in estimate from £50-80 to £800-1200.
