The exhibition focuses on the new and distinct shapes, forms and the often-experimental glazes that emerged in the Song and Yuan dynasties.
Covered in an olive-green glaze, this vase is body pierced with a band of peonies revealing an inner vase.
Requiring immense technical ability, openwork vases were difficult to produce and as a result few Longquan vases of this type exist.
It is priced at £140,000.
