Shortcoming Winner of the Waterloo Cup 1921, an oil on canvas signed and dated Lilian Cheviot 1921, will be offered with an asking price of £12,950 by Blackbrook Gallery at The Game Fair.
The Game Fair focuses on countryside pursuits such as shooting, falconry and gamekeeping. LAPADA held its first event there last summer followed by the Scottish Game Fair at Scone Palace, Perthshire, last September.
Warwickshire then Wales
Around 15 members of LAPADA will be exhibiting at the July 29-31 Game Fair at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, primarily dealers of paintings and jewellery. Then it plans to create a LAPADA Village featuring dealers in fine art, furniture, jewellery and antiquities at the GWCT Welsh Game Fair taking place from September 9-11 at the Vaynol Estate near Snowdon in north Wales.
LAPADA chief executive Freya Simms said: “Our partnership with The Game Fair has been such a natural fit, and our members look forward to exhibiting at this terrific event, meeting new audiences in a new destination.”
Previously, the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair ran each autumn in London’s Berkeley Square but this is the third year it has not been held.
