More are still to come in the latest auction of Toys in Willoughby, Ohio, on January 29 with nearly 130 on offer.
Among them will be some further examples of rare Marx clockwork prototypes: an Indian motorcycle and sidecar with box estimated at $4000-6000 and a Red Cross bike with rider guided at $6000-8000.
The selection also features this 9in (22.5cm) British clockwork example featuring two clowns. The bike, marked Made in GT Britain on the petrol tank, has an estimate of $1000-1500.
