Ideal for an open-style dining experience, these are priced at £1950 the set with the tables sold separately at £1250 and the benches £450. Hills will be bringing some of these to Arthur Swallow Fairs’ latest addition to its decorative and salvage shows at Ripley Castle and Loseley Park.

This new fair, first announced last year (ATG No 2568), will run over three days from Friday to Sunday, June 9-11, in the lush surroundings of the privately owned Bathurst Estate in Cirencester Park. It is a walk away from Cirencester and at the heart of the antiques-rich Cotswolds hinterland including Tetbury which is six miles away. AS Fairs’ managing director Richard Burgoin said he is thrilled to be launching this fair, saying: “It’s a terrific venue for us.”

This Peter Marsh 1950s-60s rock glass pendant lantern will cost £250 with Old Yard Antiques of Oswestry at the upcoming AS fair in Gloucestershire. Marsh appears to have traded as The House of Peter Marsh in Birmingham between 1949-65 making multi-coloured indoor/outdoor glass lamps. The dealership is also bringing a ‘Winged Wheels’ plaque priced at £850 showing the logo of the Cyclists’ Touring Club, founded in 1878 with the plaques introduced a year later. Old Yard Antiques is run by Elaine and Andy Jennings and Hannah Cox, whose stock at the fair will also include furniture and other lighting pieces from the 18th to early 20th centuries. theoldyard.co.uk

It should certainly attract plenty of high-end customers to the stands of 70 dealers including newbies and regulars who are exhibiting the sort of stock that is well known at these fairs: architectural salvage, decorative antiques, statuary and garden furniture.

Complementary trade tickets are available for Friday afternoon (June 9) between noon and 5pm by registration which closes on Wednesday, June 7, at 5pm. Check the AS Fairs website for details.
