The collection was started in the 1970s by a businessman who bought in the Far East and Australia while travelling, acquiring his first bottles in Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong. A catalogue of the collection, which represents most types of snuff bottles, was produced by dealer Robert Kleiner in 2012.
