Your interviewees cite ‘old white men’ as an issue in the trade while also bemoaning ‘the racially charged stuff’ they come across in their book auctions. This offensive double-standard should not go unchallenged.
Then in the same Books and Works on Paper section you interviewed Robert Weaver – a collector of admirable taste and scholarship, or just another old white man?
