The immaculate grounds of the manor house are a fine backdrop to the annual Firle Vintage Fair which runs this year over the weekend of August 11-12.
Organised by Katrina Palsager and her family for the past seven years, this is a well-supported event, both by the 150-plus dealers who stand here selling French brocante, Danish design, decorative pieces and gardenalia as well as a healthy number of visitors.
Added to the mix this year, says Palsager, is a food emporium with artisan producers. Other attractions include a classic car show, swing jazz bands and plenty of vintage fashion.
The vintage dealers attending this year’s fair include Ted Vintage, Mays Antiques, Caroline Ramm Interiors, Little Wren Vintage, and Alice Mae Vintage Home and Décor.
