Thomas Watson is a longstanding auction house based in Darlington, County Durham. 

Founded in 1840, they now host fortnightly general sales alternating with more specialist sales. Boasting historic premises at The Gallery Saleroom, they offer items across different fields including antiques, fine art, jewellery, collectables and furnishings.

The name’s Submariner – Rolex Submariner

The first Rolex Submariner was introduced to the public in 1954 at the Basel Watch Fair but it was Ian Fleming’s fictional spy, James Bond, who in 1962 transformed a reliable and rugged dive watch to a status symbol embodying suave masculinity and a sense of adventure.
